| Manuli Stretch since 1970 has operated in the area of 100% recyclable linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) for industrial and agricultural use. In 1976, Manuli Stretch was the first company in Europe to produce stretch film and it is now the worldwide leading manufacturer as regards to both production and sales, as well as the quality. These cover a wide range, being diversified in respect of thickness, strength and versatility of use. The areas of application of stretch film for packaging include the food, beverage (mineral water, etc.), pharmaceutical industries, paper manufacturers, tiles and ceramics, engineering companies, supermarket chains and agriculture. Within the framework of a further product diversification, Manuli Stretch has recently introduced in its range the so called cast polypropylene (CPP). Through its own sales network, in addition to stretch film, the Group also distributes several products for packaging like standard and special adhesive tapes, plastic and metal strappings, pluriball films, films for food and polypropylene films, packaging machines.
The Company’s chief aim is to maintain and further consolidate its leadership in the area of industrial packaging, by continuing to supply highly reliable products, with the best quality-price ratio on the market. An essential part is played here by research on materials and the effort devoted to design, aimed at finding effective solutions to the present and future packaging problems of the customers, besides a problem solving oriented creativity.
Manuli Stretch manufactures stretch film at three factories, on a total surface area of 122.000 sq. metres, 34.000 of which is built up, for a nominal production capacity of 230.000 tonnes/year. Plant and equipment are fully automated and computerized; advanced technologies are employed, some of which are patented and the software is exclusive property of the Company. |

This represents a great competitive advantage, which the Company intends to work seriously on. |

Well organized logistical and technical services ensure the standard of quality that has always been a hallmark of the Group. In 2001, Manuli Stretch adopted SAP R/3 as E.R.P. system, which ensures a good management and a constant information monitoring.
Manuli Stretch has obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification in respect of its european plants, with the addition of TÜV certification for its German factory, extremely important qualifications for meeting the technical and organizational challenges confronting industry both in Europe and worldwide. Our full commitment to respect the environment is borne out by the Manuli Stretch Group’s plan to improve its Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO Standard 14001:2004 and EMAS reg.761/2001. Manuli Stretch will achieve the certification during the year 2006. |
